Longwell intends to return to Vikings

Five years after Ryan Longwell left the Packers for the rival Vikings, the 36-year-old kicker is still going strong.

He missed only three field goals last year and should have no problem getting a job after the lockout as a free agent. Longwell plans to be back in Minnesota.

“Our full intention to go back to Minnesota and put together another good stretch of years up there,” Longwell told FoxSportsNorth.com. “It does seem like a really good fit. I am a firm believer in the way Coach Frazier approaches coaching and life and approaches people.”

The Vikings have a lot of difficult decisions to make after the lockout ends. Bringing back Longwell should be simple enough.
