San Diego Chargers third-round offensive guard Louis Vasquez’s four-year rookie contract includes a signing bonus of nearly $800,000 and carries a total value of $2.55 million.
That figure could be boosted significantly by a fourth-year escalator clause.
A native of Corsicana, Tex., Vasquez is slated to compete for a starting job at right guard.
The 6'5,” 325-pounder from Texas Tech was a three-year starter for the Red Raiders, starting 35 career games.
He was named second-team All-Big 12 Conference as a senior and a third-team All-American selection.
As a sophomore and a junior, Vasquez was named honorable-mention All-Big 12.
