We know it’s a busy news cycle, but the lack of national attention for the flooding in Nashville is surprising.
The Opryland Hotel, Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Titans’ LP Field are among the city’s well-known locations now experiencing damage and flooding.
A screenshot from a local television station shows that water is currently on the Titans field. Here’s another eye-opening picture.
Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel said on the air it’s unclear whether the water on the field is rainwater that can’t get out, or whether the rising water of the Cumberland River is causing the drainage system to essentially flood the field from below.
We posted this morning that LP Field and team facility were in danger, and the water has only risen in Nashville since.
Chris Johnson tweeted pictures of his flooded neighborhood. Music City Miracles, a Titans blog, also has been all over the story and has pictures of the flooding around LP Field’s parking lot.
