Colts quarterback Andrew Luck played against live competition for the first time in more than nine months Saturday.
With the primary goal being to get some work, break a sweat and get out healthy, Luck did well. He completed all eight passes he threw for 71 yards in two series of action in the Colts’ preseason game vs. the Ravens.
Luck hit five different receivers, looked for second-year receiver Phillip Dorsett early and also scrambled twice for 12 yards. The Colts sat wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, but Luck looked comfortable with Dorsett, Donte Moncrief and tight end Dwayne Allen.
Luck was 4-for-4 for 42 yards on the game’s first drive and the Colts kicked a field goal. The Colts drove 45 yards on their second series but Allen fumbled in the red zone after catching a pass.
