Malik Nabers: Return to team drills brought my soul back to life

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is making more strides in his return from the torn ACL that ended his 2025 season.

Nabers took part in full-speed team drills for the first time at training camp on Monday. Nabers wore a red non-contact jersey and had his reps managed in both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods of the practice, but it was one more step toward being in the lineup without any restrictions when the Giants face the Cowboys in the first week of the regular season.

“My soul’s been dead for so long just being away from the game,” Nabers said, via Charlotte Carroll of TheAthletic.com. “Getting out there and having my teammates behind me kinda felt that soul come back to life.”

Nabers didn’t make any guarantees about playing in the opener, but obstacles to him doing so are getting harder to find and it’s starting to feel like a pretty safe bet that No. 1 will be on the field in Week 1.
