His team is far from perfect, but Falcons kicker Matt Bryant is doing his part.
The dependable veteran is helping keep the Falcons in the playoff chase, and has won NFC special teams player of the month honors in the process.
Bryant led the league in field goals and percentage last month, nailing all 14 of his field goal attempts, including all six from 40 yards or longer.
That included a game-winner against the Panthers (seriously, playing the Panthers is the best way to win a special teams award), and had 49 points in November.
He’s made 34 straight field goals from inside 50 yards, a streak that goes back to last year.
The Falcons went 4-1 to improve to 5-7, and lead the NFC South at the moment, so he may have a chance at more pressure kicks later.
