Missouri junior defensive tackle Harold Brantley, a 2016 NFL draft prospect, has been upgraded to good condition and is expected to make a full recovery after a car accident on Sunday.
Brantley, a potential first-round draft pick, suffered a fractured left tibia, ligament damage in his left knee and multiple rib fractures. However, the Missouri football program announced that Brantley has a very good long-term prognosis.
There is no timetable on when Brantley will be back on the football field, and no word on whether Missouri expects him to play this year.
Brantley was driving and lost control of his vehicle. His passenger, Missouri women’s basketball player Maddie Stock, was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was injured in the single-vehicle crash.
