Former NFL running back Montee Ball will spend two months in jail after a plea deal in two domestic violence cases.
Ball pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and battery and was sentenced to 60 days. Ball’s girlfriend told police in February that he threw her across a hotel room. After that, an ex-girlfriend told police he had assaulted her in 2014.
At Wisconsin, Ball set the NCAA record for career total touchdowns. The Broncos chose him in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft, but he was a disappointment, starting only three games in two years before he was released. He then briefly spent time with the Patriots.
The 25-year-old Ball has received no offers since the Patriots cut him, and his NFL career is likely over.
