NFLPA Rookie Premiere commences in L.A. with 41 rookies

Every May, the NFL Players Association gathers a group of incoming rookies for the “NFLPA Rookie Premiere” in Los Angeles. Among other things, the rookies don their NFL uniforms for the first time, for trading-card photographs.

This year’s group, which has gathered Thursday in L.A., consists of 41 new players, including the first four picks in the draft: Rams quarterback Jared Goff, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa, and Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Others who will attend the skill-position-heavy event are Vikings receiver Moritz Böhringer, Broncos running back Devontae Booker, Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd, Dolphins receiver Leonte Caroo, Browns receiver Corey Coleman, Seahawks running back Alex Collins, Raiders quarterback Connor Cook, Rams receiver Pharoh Cooper, Packers receiver Trevor Davis, Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon, Washington receiver Josh Doctson, Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake, Texans running back Tyler Ervin, Texans receiver Will Fuller, Jets quarterback Christian Hackenberg, Titans running back Derrick Henry, Chargers tight end Hunter Henry, Chiefs quarterback Kevin Hogan, Bears running back Jordan Howard, Bills quarterback Cardale Jones, Browns quarterback Cody Kessler, Browns receiver Ricardo Louis, Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch, Texans receiver Braxton Miller, Patriots receiver Malcolm Mitchell, Ravens receiver Chris Moore, Giants running back Paul Perkins, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Seahawks running back C.J. Prosise, Ravens receiver Keenan Reynolds, Chiefs receiver DeMarcus Robinson, Giants receiver Sterling Shephard, Eagles running back Wendall Smallwood, Saints receiver Michael Thomas, Vikings receiver Laquon Treadwell, Raiders running back DeAndre Washington, and Bills running back Jonathan Williams.

The event lasts from May 19 to 21, and there undoubtedly will be a complaint or two from a coach who will see his access to one or more of his rookies impacted in a negative way due to the event.
