No hot water in locker rooms at FedEx Field after Giants-Commanders game

If any players on the Commanders want to wash off the bad feelings from their 31-19 loss to the Giants with a hot shower on Sunday, they’ll have to wait until they get home to do it.

The Commanders confirmed reports that there is no hot water in either locker room after the game.

“We had an equipment failure in the main water heater that provides hot water to the field level locker rooms,” a Commanders spokesperson said in a statement. “We can’t resolve the matter without completely shutting off the water to the stadium, which is why it couldn’t be repaired in game.”

It’s not the first time that there have been issues with pipes at FedEx Field in the past, although those left people in need of a shower rather than keeping them from taking one. Sunday’s issue compounds a bad day for the home team and they’ll need to find some other way to rinse away the stink of falling to 4-7 on the season.
