In an announcement that surprised no one -- especially the Ravens -- the Steelers have confirmed that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will start Sunday’s game in Baltimore.
Even as reports emerged that Roethlisberger would start and the Ravens said they weren’t interested in any suspense, the Steelers had maintained that Roethlisberger would be a true game-time decision.
Now it’s almost game time, so a decision was made.
Roethlisberger had a knee scope after being injured at Miami three weeks ago. He missed only one game, a home loss to the Patriots, because the Steelers were off last weekend.
As usual, Landry Jones is the No. 2 quarterback and would take over if Roethlisberger aggravates the injury.
