Norfleet’s Sister Says Rap Song Wasn’t About McNair

The on-again, off-again boyfriend of Sahel Kazemi, whose body was found with former Titans and Ravens quarterback Steve McNair on Saturday, claims through his family that a rap song he made earlier this year with lyrics expressing an intent to kill wasn’t about McNair.

So, basically, it means that there’s a different “old man” that Keith Norfleet has vowed to put in the “morgue.”

According to Norfleet’s sister, there is. Crystal Norfleet says that her brother was referring to her husband, who cheated on her with a much younger woman. (In unrelated news, Woody Allen is moving to Nashville.)

“Music is an outlet for [Keith],” Crystal Norfleet told Kate Howard of the Tennessean. “He puts his emotions on pen and paper, and that’s where they stay . . . he never wrote that with Steve and [Kazemi] in mind.”

Howard points out that Keith Norfleet has avoided the media since Saturday night, and Howard claims that it’s “partly because of the way he is being portrayed and criticized by news outlets and bloggers.”

We’re sorry to disrupt your reporting, Kate, but is the portrayal and/or criticism of Keith Norfleet unfair?

Given his subpar and disturbing rap song and his YouTube channel, which TacoBill found last night, we believe that any portrayal and/or criticism flowing from those publicly-available items is deserved.

Besides, we still want to know what role if any he had in the events culminating in Kazemi buying a gun within “hours” after she was arrested for DUI. Kazemi and Norfleet reportedly were together following the arrest. Even if he had nothing to do with the deaths of McNair and Kazemi (and police consistently have said that Norfleet isn’t a suspect, and we agree with that assessment based on everything we’ve seen), the reported timeline suggests that Norfleet might know something that will help shed light on what still is a very confusing situation.
