The Panthers made another cheap secondary addition, signing former Bears cornerback D.J. Moore to a one-year deal.

That news comes from Moore himself, so the sourcing is solid, unless he pulled an Antwan Barnes.

Moore’s from Spartanburg, S.C., where the Panthers hold training camp, so there was an easy draw. The fact that the Bears didn’t want him back after he intercepted 10 passes the last three seasons made the reunion easier.

The Panthers have also signed veteran corner Drayton Florence, so this gives them another sufficiently proficient player in a secondary that lacked any kind of depth after Chris Gamble was released and Captain Munnerlyn was allowed to walk into free agency.
