Pat White Drafted, Again

We resisted writing this one for a bit, because of our natural bias for former West Virginia quarterback Pat White. But we’re getting too many e-mails from folks wondering why we haven’t mentioned it. And so we will. White, a second-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft, was a 48th-round pick in the major league baseball draft. He was selected by the Yankees. It’s the fourth time White was selected in the MLB draft. Coming out of high school, White was a fourth-round pick of the Angels. In 2007, the Angels picked him again, in the 24th round. And the Reds drafted White in round seven last year. White hasn’t played baseball since high school, where he was named Alabama’s Mr. Baseball.
