Pat White has retired -- again.

The former Miami Dolphin has retired from baseball, just seven months after signing a contract with the Kansas City Royals.

White left football last Fall after the Dolphins cut him before the season starts. It’s possible he could get back into football, but it’s unclear if he even wants to. (Or if any team wants him to.)

The former Mountaineer is an example of how fast things can change. Just two years ago, he was a favorite among draftniks. While the Dolphins didn’t seem to need him, a lot of people thought they got a great value taking him in the middle of the second round.
