The Patriots called up some LB depth from their practice squad on Saturday, promoting third-year pro Darius Fleming, the club said.
The 25-year-old Fleming has spent most of the season on the Patriots’ practice squad, but he was on the club’s roster in Week One. He was a fifth-round pick of San Francisco in 2012 but did not play in either of his first two seasons because of ACL tears.
The promotion of Fleming gives the Patriots five linebackers on the 53-player roster in advance of Sunday’s game at Green Bay. However, veteran Chris White (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report, and he did not practice on Friday.
