Patriots sign Alan Branch to two-year deal

alanbranch

Alan Branch will remain in New England.

Branch, the defensive tackle who played in eight games with two starts for the Patriots last year, has signed a two-year deal to return to the Patriots. Branch had been a free agent but won’t go anywhere.

The Patriots may be looking to give Branch more playing time this season with the departure of defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. The 30-year-old Branch was a starter for the Bills in 2013 and the Seahawks in 2011 and 2012 before becoming a role player for the Patriots last year.
