The Patriots are bringing in some competition at long snapper.
Per Mike Reiss of ESPN, New England is re-signing Niko Lalos at the position.
Lalos, 29, was previously with the Patriots earlier this offseason.
He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and has appeared in six career games — all for the Giants as a rookie. He has since also spent time with the Saints.
Julian Ashby is New England’s current long snapper, having joined the team as a seventh-round pick in 2025.
