Patriots trade OL Caedan Wallace to Dolphins

The Patriots won’t release offensive tackle Caedan Wallace after all. Instead, news that New England was moving on from the 2024 third-round pick led to a trade.

The Dolphins are acquiring Wallace and a 2029 seventh-round pick for a 2028 sixth-round pick, the Patriots announced Monday.

The Patriots used the 68th overall pick in 2024 on the Penn State product.

Wallace, 26, appeared in 10 games in his two seasons in New England. He played only eight snaps last season.

The Patriots also announced the re-signing of long snapper Niko Lalos. The team initially signed Lalos on March 16, but released him on May 20.
