The Patriots agreed to terms with tight end Jeremiah Franklin on Thursday. They made a corresponding move on Friday to get Franklin on the roster.
The Patriots waived wide receiver Jimmy Kibble with an injury designation, according to the NFL’s personnel notice.
Kibble, 22, signed as an unrestricted free agent in May.
He appeared in 39 games at Georgetown, totaling 149 receptions for 2,642 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Kibble earned first-team All-Patriot League honors last season after catching 63 passes for 1,002 yards and four touchdowns.
The Patriots now have 11 wideouts on the roster.
