The Patriots slid under .500 for the first time in nine years last week. On Sunday, they turned the clock back to 2007 with an overpowering performance that surely will prompt criticism that the Pats ran up the score.

With only seven points at halftime, the Patriots exploded for 45 in the final 25 minutes to steamroll the Bills, 52-28.

They did it with 340 yards passing from Tom Brady, more than 100 yards rushing from two players (Stevan Ridley and Brandon Bolden), and more than 100 yards receiving from two players (Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski).

Brady, who had three touchdown passes, added a touchdown run. After the referee explained that the ruling of a score had been confirmed via replay, Brady had this message for no one in particular: “F--k you, bitches.”

Wes Welker was amused. The Bills likely aren’t.
