Titans cornerback Perrish Cox said Friday that he was fined $9,000 for a late hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in last week’s game.

Cox’s hit after Rodgers crossed the goal line on a touchdown run lead to a brief fracas between the teams. Cooler heads quickly prevailed, but Cox said he expected to receive a letter from the league regarding a fine.

Cox told reporters Friday he did not intentionally hit Rodgers late.

I wasn’t trying to hurt anybody,” he said. “I never play this game to try and hurt anybody. I try to play between the whistles.”

Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan was fined $30,000 for contacting an official early in the game.
