Browns safety Jordan Poyer suffered a lacerated kidney in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Titans, the team announced.

Poyer is in stable condition but will be kept overnight at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital for observation.

Poyer was taken to the hospital after taking a big hit from Titans running back Antonio Andrews in the second quarter. Poyer was covering a punt when Andrews delivered a blindside hit. Andrews was flagged 15 yards for an illegal blindside block.

The Browns initially announced that Poyer was being evaluated for a concussion and later announced he was also being treated for an abdominal injury.
