The Oakland Raiders announced Wednesday they have signed second-round pick Menelik Watson.
The deal with Watson comes on the eve of the Raiders’ start of training camp with players reporting on Thursday and the first practice scheduled for Friday.
The former Florida State offensive tackle was selected by Oakland with the 42nd pick during April’s NFL Draft. He is the ninth member of the Raiders’ draft class to sign their rookie contract.
The Raiders first-round pick, cornerback D.J. Hayden, is the only player still unsigned.
