With Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt long gone, the Rams need to rebuild their receiving corps with young, unproven players.
Donnie Avery, a second-round pick in 2008, made a solid impact as a rookie. The Rams surely hope that 2009 fifth-rounder, Brooks Foster, will do the same.
Foster has agreed to terms on a contract, according to Bill Coats of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It’s a four-year deal. Financial terms are not yet known.
The former North Carolina Tar Heel, who likely had a hard time getting much attention with Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate around, is the second draft pick under contract for the Rams; third-round cornerback Bradley Fletcher struck a deal with the team on Friday.
And we hope that Brooks Foster becomes a star at the NFL level, if for no reason other than it will give us a chance to use clips like this one from time to time.
