The Rams released wide receiver Nick Toon on Wednesday.
Toon signed with the team’s practice squad last September and played in one game for the Rams last season. He’d previously been released by the Saints with an injury settlement.
A fourth-round pick of the Saints in 2012, Toon played in 16 games for the Saints in three seasons and caught his only touchdown pass from Drew Brees in Nov. 2014. He has 21 career receptions for 283 yards.
Toon, 27, is the son of longtime NFL receiver Al Toon.
