Rare misses for Dan Bailey leave Cowboys up 17-6 at half

Both teams have missed some opportunities, but the surprising part is which kicker is missing his.

The Cowboys had a chance to pad their lead, but kicker Dan Bailey missed his second field goal of the night just before halftime, leaving the Cowboys with a 17-6 lead.

Bucs kicker Roberto Aguayo, whose struggles with accuracy this year have been well documented, has actually made both of his.

Bailey’s no longer the league’s most accurate kicker, after missing a pair in the first half. Of course, they were from 56 and 52 yards, and he’s still really good. He’s still 22-of-26 on field goals this season.

The biggest mistake of the half might have been Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston headbutting a Cowboys defender, stalling a drive and forcing them to settle for a field goal. It’s one of a few moments in which the Bucs looked like the moment was a little big for them, unlike what they’ve shown in a five-game win streak.
