The Ravens obviously believe in giving a player a second chance.
And a third, if necessary.
The Ravens activated cornerback Asa Jackson Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. He takes the roster spot cleared when they put left guard Kelechi Osemele on injured reserve, which they said they’d do earlier this week.
Jackson was coming off an eight-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances. It was his second such suspension for what he said was unauthorized use of Adderall.
“Definitely, it’s been a rough first two years with that kind of stuff,” Jackson said. “From here on out, I’ve grown as a person and as a man, and they’re not going to have any problems out of me.”
A.Q. Shipley will start in Osemele’s spot at guard.
