We were rather surprised to read the news Tuesday morning in the Baltimore Sun that Mark LeVoir was the favorite to start at right tackle for the Ravens.

It was a surprise because the Ravens only signed LeVoir on Sunday. And because the Patriots didn’t think LeVoir was worth keeping on their 90-man roster.

Baltimore seems hesitant to let rookie third round pick Jah Reid start. They may also come up with a solution where they don’t use LeVoir or Reid as a starter.

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times writes that the Ravens are “very interested” in free agent Bryant McKinnie. Perhaps the former Viking would play left tackle in Baltimore, with Michael Oher sliding back to the right side. Or maybe they want to try McKinnie at right tackle.

Whatever the answer, Baltimore’s offensive line looks rather unsettled as the opening week game against the Steelers approach.
