As the Redskins try to push their record over .500 through 11 games, they brought in eight players for workouts on Wednesday.

According to the Sports Xchange, the octet of tryouts included former Colts offensive lineman Tony Ugoh, a second-round pick in 2007 who was cut earlier this year. Also getting a look-see were defensive backs Brett Johnson, DaJuan Morgan, Ramzee Robinson, and Ko Simpson, linebackers J.D. Folsom and Donovan Woods, and guard Dennis Landolt.

The Redskins need help in the defensive backfield, due to injuries to safety LaRon Landry and cornerback Carlos Rogers.

None of the players was signed.

The Redskins host the Vikings on Sunday.
