The Redskins have promoted defensive lineman A.J. Francis from their practice squad.
Francis played in two games last year with the Seahawks and one with the Dolphins. He’s also spent time with the Patriots and Buccaneers.
Long snapper Rick Lovato was waived to make room for Francis on the roster. Lovato being waived indicates that the team’s usual long snapper, Nick Sundberg, will be healthy enough to play this week at Arizona.
Sundberg has missed the last two games with a back injury.
