Mike Shanahan got the deal he wants, and now Albert Haynesworth is Bill Belichick’s problem.

In a blockbuster trade for a player who’s capable of being one of the best defensive linemen of the league -- or one of the biggest headaches in the league -- the Washington Redskins have traded Haynesworth to the New England Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The compensation for the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year is a fifth-round pick in 2013.

Haynesworth, who will have to pass his physical for the trade to become official, is scheduled to make $5 million this season.
