Inspired in part by the new feature that Drew Magary (buy his book) pinched off at Deadspin on Thursday, we detected something interesting while flipping through the pages of the latest edition of Patriots Football Weekly. (Amazingly, the Pats are the only team who have realized to date the potential benefit of sending to PFT headquarters complimentary copies of their weekly publication.) In an article titled Trick or Treat Tales, various players share some of their favorite Halloween moments. The most entertaining memory came from Wes Welker. “I dressed up as poop one year,” Welker said. “It was hard to make out what it was, so, you know, I taped some corn on it.” The article dubs Welker “The Steamer.” We have a feeling that it just might stick.
