The 49ers have reportedly waived an offensive lineman they carried on their non-football injury list a season ago.
According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, the Niners have waived offensive lineman Luke Marquardt, whom they signed as an undrafted free agent last spring.
The 6-foot-8, 315-pound Marquardt played college football at Azuza Pacific, the alma mater of former Chiefs tailback Christian Okoye. Marquardt missed his final collegiate season (2012) with a foot injury.
With Marquardt’s reported departure, the 49ers would have 89 players on the roster, one short of the 90-player limit.
UPDATE 12:44 p.m. ET: Maiocco reports Marquardt will land on injured reserve if he clears waivers.
