When cornerback Antonio Cromartie left last Sunday’s game with an injury, the Cardinals initially feared it was an Achilles injury that would knock him out of their lineup for the rest of the season.

It turns out that Cromartie suffered a less severe ankle injury, which led to sighs of relief if not a guarantee that they’d have him on the field for Thursday night’s game against the Rams. Cromartie was able to do some jogging during practices this week, but wasn’t a full participant and the team listed him as questionable on Wednesday’s injury report.

Cromartie indicated that it would be a game-time decision, but it seems that the Cardinals have made their call a little further ahead of kickoff. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports via a team official that Cromartie will be in the lineup.

It shapes up to be a defensive-driven matchup between the NFC West foes, so having their starting corner on the field should be a boost for Arizona as they try for their 11th win and firm footing in the playoff hunt.
