Report: Bears S Coby Bryant will miss 8-12 weeks with knee injury

Bears safety Coby Bryant, who was carted off from practice Monday, was diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee, bone bruise and small fracture, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Bryant is expected to miss 8-10 weeks.

He was one of the team’s key offseason signings, joining the Bears on a three-year, $40 million contract.

Bryant spent the past four seasons in Seattle after the Seahawks made him a fourth-round pick in 2022. He won a Super Bowl ring in his final season with the organization.

Cam Lewis is behind Bryant on the depth chart, though Lewis was playing the nickel.

The Bears may need to make a move at the position.
