Browns coach Hue Jackson is in Fargo today at Carson Wentz’s pro day.

But he’s going to have another No. 2 overall pick to work with, whether he likes Wentz or not.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Browns are expected to reach an agreement former Washington starter Robert Griffin III today.

It was clear the Browns were pivoting away from a possible deal for Colin Kaepernick and toward signing Griffin in free agency this week at the owners meetings, and having Griffin on hand gives them flexibility.

They’re still expected to take North Dakota State’s Wentz or Cal’s Jared Goff with the second overall pick this year, as they continue their perpetual search for a quarterback.

But having Griffin gives them at least a short-term fix, and someone else for Jackson to work with.
