In addition to the neck injury that forced quarterback Jay Cutler from the Chicago Bears loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Cutler also suffered a knee injury that appeared on the injury report Wednesday.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Cutler has a sprained medial collateral ligament. Per the report, the injury is not nearly as severe as the MCL injury that sidelined him during the 2011 NFC Championship game.

The Bears did not hold a full practice on Wednesday but the injury report stated Cutler would not have practiced if they had. He returned to limited participation in practice on Thursday and is expected to fully participate on Friday.

Head coach Lovie Smith said Thursday he has no concerns for Cutler’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
