Dolphins safety Reshad Jones has reportedly floated the possibility of sitting out the entire season without a new contract.

So perhaps the fact he’s willing to sit out a minicamp shouldn’t be a surprise.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Jones plans to skip minicamp as well. Unlike voluntary OTAs, the mandatory nature of minicamp means Jones will be subject to $76,580 in fines.

The Pro Bowl safety has two years left on his existing deal, but it appears he’s digging in, with no interest in showing up without an improved contract.
