There is more information on Chargers center Tyler Biadasz, who suffered a knee injury during Tuesday’s joint practice with the 49ers.
According to a joint report from ESPN and NFL Network, Biadasz is out indefinitely after suffering damage to his ACL and additional injuries to his left knee.
Biadasz is slated to meet with more doctors in an effort to get more clarity.
The Chargers issued a statement on Wednesday morning, saying in part that Biadasz “underwent imaging later in the day [on Tuesday] and is currently in the process of gathering additional opinions.”
The injury to Biadasz is a significant blow to a Chargers unit that brought in the veteran center to beef up the interior of the offensive line. Los Angeles signed him to a three-year, $30 million contract in early March.
Originally a fourth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2020, Biadasz was a Pro Bowler for Dallas in 2022. He spent the last two seasons with the Commanders, starting 31 games for the club.
