Former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Perrish Cox has set up his first pair of free agent visits.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Cox is scheduled to visit the Washington Redskins on Wednesday. Cox then has a visit lined up with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.
After bouncing from San Francisco to Seattle and back to San Francisco in 2013, Cox grabbed hold of a starting job for the 49ers last season. He started 14 of 15 games for the 49ers and racked up 53 tackles and five interceptions on the year.
Washington could use an upgrade at cornerback to place alongside promising young cornerback Bashaud Breeland. The Browns are looking for a potential replacement for Buster Skrine, who is headed to join the New York Jets.
