Ricky Williams says Ravens just need to hit the Patriots in the mouth

Ravens running back Ricky Williams has played against the Patriots 13 times in his NFL career, so he can tell his teammates plenty about their opponents in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.

And Williams says he wants his teammates to know this: The way to take the Patriots out of their game is to hit them and hit them hard.

“If you hit them in the mouth and you stand up to them, that’s the way you play it,” Williams told the Baltimore Sun. “I think when you’re as good as they are, you get used to people kind of being intimidated. And I think when you show them that you’re not, it automatically makes them have to change the way they’re used to playing, and that automatically gives us an advantage.”

Those comments are likely to find their way to the Patriots’ locker room, where some players on the Patriots’ defense will be motivated to hit Williams in the mouth for opening his mouth.
