Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has passed Dan Fouts to become the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards.

Fouts’ mark had stood at 43,040 yards. Rivers is off to a hot start Thursday night and has kept the chains moving while chewing up yardage.

Rivers came in with 42,916. He’s in his 13th season and 11th as the starter.

The Chargers are out to a 10-0 lead over the Broncos. Through almost 20 minutes, Rivers is 12-of-17 for 141 yards and a touchdown to rookie tight end Hunter Henry, who’s caught a touchdown pass in three straight games.

The Chargers have had the ball for 17:03 of the first 19:25.
