Roethlisberger practices fully, Starks may start

Ben Roethlisberger practiced fully on Thursday, ending any small uncertainty about his status Sunday against the Titans.

Big Ben’s availability is decided, but the man protecting his blind side remains up in the air. Recently signed tackle Max Starks took between 66-75% of the first team snaps on Thursday, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Coach Mike Tomlin indicated earlier this week that Starks was unlikely to come “off the street” and right into the starting lineup. But it appears that’s just what Starks will do, even though Jonathan Scott has returned to practice the last two days.

We doubt Starks can cure what ails the Pittsburgh line, but it’s worth a shot. They had to try something different.
