The Bills submitted their list of seven inactive players ahead of Thursday night’s game vs. the Jets, and wide receiver Sammy Watkins was not on it.
That means Watkins is active and in the starting lineup. He had been listed as questionable due to a foot injury.
A report earlier Thursday said Watkins wanted to play but said team doctors might not clear him. He’s probably still playing in pain and possibly at less than 100 percent, but he’s going to play -- at least as long as he can.
Watkins had four catches for 43 yards in the Bills’ opener against the Ravens last Sunday.
