The Redskins will be without their most reliable wide receiver for roughly three weeks.
A league source tells PFT’s Mike Florio that Santana Moss will undergo surgery on his broken hand and should miss three weeks.
It’s a huge loss for an offense that is already struggling to throw the football. Jabar Gaffney has been solid, but the Redskins don’t have another wideout with more than 60 receiving yards this year.
UPDATE: Redskins coach Mike Shanahan confirmed the surgery and says Moss should be out 5-7 weeks.
