When David Akers is the thing going right, you know things are going all wrong for the 49ers.

Akers made a 54-yard field goal just before half, which allowed the 49ers to carve the Seahawks lead to 28-6.

The Seahawks have now scored 136 points in their last 10 quarters, after hanging 58 on the Cardinals and 50 on the Bills.

But those are the Cardinals and the Bills, and tonight they’re hammering a good team, one that many people thought was the best in the league about a six days and 22 hours ago.

The process of coming back will be more difficult for the 49ers without tight end Vernon Davis, who was ruled out with a concussion.
