The Seattle Seahawks signed yet another member of their draft class on Thursday.

The team announced they have signed sixth-round offensive tackle Garrett Scott to a contract. Per league rules, it’s a four-year contract.

Scott was the first of Seattle’s two picks in the sixth round of the draft. They also selected San Diego State defensive back Eric Pinkins later in the round.

Scott did not participate in the team’s rookie mini-camp last weekend as he had not yet passed a physical with the team.

While Seattle selected Justin Britt in the second round to be a right tackle for them, the Seahawks drafted Scott to be a left tackle.

“We like the shot of him playing left tackle because he’s done it and it’s a difficult spot to find,” head coach Pete Carroll said. “He looked very comfortable there. Really has the kind of quickness and light on his feet ability that gives us the thought that he could do that.”

Scott started 35 games at Marshall and was an All-Conference USA second-team selection.

Fourth-round wide receiver Kevin Norwood and fourth-round linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis are the only remaining draft picks still unsigned for the Seahawks.
