As Rosenthal pointed out last night in his weekly review of the final injury report (it’s part of the PFT hazing), Giants offensive lineman Shawn Andrews is questionable after missing practice all week due to the latest incarnation of his back troubles.

Andrea Kremer of NBC reports that Andrews received an epidural injection on Thursday to reduce inflammation. Andrews told Kremer that he doesn’t want to “miss this one for the world.”

And for good reason. Andrews became a Pro Bowler with the Eagles. After Andrews experienced depression and chronic back issues (which resulted in two surgeries), the Eagles cut Andrews, who also had been unhappy with the terms of an ultra-long-term deal that he signed in only his second NFL season.

Andrews told Kremer that the discomfort returned during the Week 10 game between the Giants and Cowboys, after colliding on multiple occasions with Dallas defensive lineman Igor Olshansky. Following the game, Andrews began to feel sharp pains.

Currently, he’s fine when standing but feels pain when bending forward.

The Eagles host the Giants on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
