Sore knee will limit Dak Prescott’s practice participation

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott won’t be a full participant in Tuesday’s minicamp practice.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters at a press conference that Prescott is dealing with a sore knee. He will do individual and 7-on-7 work, but will not take part in any full team drills.

Schottenheimer said the team is not concerned that the knee will be a long-term issue for the quarterback. Once the Cowboys wrap up their minicamp, the team will be off until they start training camp next month.

Safeties Malik Hooker (back) and Jalen Thompson (pec) are among the other Cowboys that will be limited in their participation during practice due to injuries. Wide receiver George Pickens will also be held out of team work after skipping the voluntary portion of the team’s offseason program.
